Re: did you like Divine?
What bothered you about Ricki's Tracy? Was it the fact she wasn't Nikki Blonsky, or sing any songs?

Re: did you like Divine?
Maybe it was because of the songs but he or she
could have seen the old movie before the new one so it isn't the fact that she isn't Nikki

Re: did you like Divine?
I really liked the old movie. I don't know why, per se. But, I just did. I also have good memories with it, which probably helps.
But, I think that Divine was a really good Edna! And so was Harvey. I mean, I liked how he played Edna AND the stage manager.
I thought that was coolio.
Haha...my favorite lines are:
Amber: She better hadn't dare!
Velma: Don't stop, cha-cha! Amber: But, I'm tired!
Franklin: Look at these new campaign flyers I made. Amber: Oh, daddy.
Edna: Turn that racket down, I'm trying to irrrronnn in here!
Amber: No, mommy, no!
Haha. I guess I'm like...the only one who liked the old movie...

Re: did you like Divine?
No, I like the old movie better than the new one, but I like the stage musical slightly more.

Re: did you like Divine?
well i dont dislike him, but ive found all the ednas ive seen on stage to be more entertaining. i mean you have to respect him for being the first edna. thus laying out the blueprint for what edna is always supposed to be. and that is a man in drag. they stayed true to that on broadway as a tribute to him im sure. i dont really like how john travolta insisted on playing it as a woman. it just breaks tradition.

Re: did you like Divine?
i didn't really like divine...just because i like the more feminine approach john had.
but seeing the special features of my second disk made me like him now because of the persona he had.

I don't really know how I feel about his performance. I liked him in some parts of the film, but in other parts I couldn't stand him.
