the costumes aren't all that different.
but if u mean how in the broadway show, they are only given like a minute to change costumes..then yea. lol.

theres also many parts of the script that are the same.

i just don't like how in GMB, she carried the "ohh ohhh ohhh" it just annoyed me. lol

I was mostly referring to the fact that the actors can have as many takes as they want when they're filming a movie, to make sure they've done everything right. On Broadway...they don't have that luxury; it's live, every show. The dancing is a lot more intense in the show because it's not broken up between different days of filming, etc. It's 2 hours and 40 minutes of dancing in a row, and not everyone is cut out for that.

They are. Both are different because of the choreography and the script and the way the costumes are... lol.

Oh wow... You think those are the only differences?!

I thought so HaylieDuffFan; I was mostly clarifying my post for hairspraymovie2007, pointing out how different it is to do a movie as opposed to a broadway show.

It is COMPLETELY different. If you think the only difference between doing a movie and doing a Broadway show is the script, costumes, and choreography, take a look at Julia Roberts in The Rainmaker.

a lot of movie actors are afraid of live theater actually. i cant imagine going from an environment of professionals who know you need to do it once or twice to get it right, to performing in front of a live audience, going directly from scene to scene without a break or retake, and hoping the audience responds well.
