well... theres the grand auction, where bway shows sell big ticket items, sometimes things like walk on roles in shows or dinner with a star. theres also the autograph and photo booths where they have celebs slotted by the hour and you pay to get their pics and autographs. and finally each show has their own table to sell stuff, and each show uses their own creativity. Hairspray once has the Corny Collins show sign used on the podium on sale, another year they had the Tracy wig for people to try on and take a picture. Other shows like Avenue Q sell the 'mixed tape' that is discussed in the show. Beauty and the Beast used to do Beauty and the *Feast* and sell cupcakes and cookies. You'd see old props and costume pieces, lots of posters, playbills, etc. And all the money goes to charity.
The chance to participate in the show itself and be on stage on Broadway with the cast of Hairspray during the Madison scene in a performance is up for grabs on the grand auction but I think the pre-bidding already has it up over $3,000

and some kind of green candle holder that I liked.
