Will Hairspray have productions outside the US?
A Canadian production opened at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, Ontario in May 2004 and ran for over 250 performances. A Finnish production also played in Helsinki in 2005. Hairspray is scheduled to present productions in Tokyo, Osaka, and Korea beginning in late summer 2007. Hairspray will open at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London in October 2007. There will also be a South Africa production in Johannesburg during Fall 2007.

What is SRO?
SRO is an abbreviation of standing room only. $20 SRO tickets are sold at the Neil Simon box office on the day of the performance.

How do I get rush tickets? What is the lottery?
A number of rush tickets are now available at every performance of Hairspray for seating in the front row of the orchestra. These tickets are $25 each and will only be distributed through a lottery drawing. Sign up for the lottery begins three hours before each performance at the Neil Simon Theatre; the drawing is two and a half hours before the performance. Each person may enter only one name into the lottery and the individual whose name has been entered must be present to purchase tickets. Please note that there is a 2 ticket per person limit; cash only; photo ID required.

Where can I find sheet music for the songs?
The piano/vocal selections are published by Hal Leonard. For more information, please see www.halleonard.com.

What are the lyrics to the "You Can't Stop the Beat" curtain call reprise?
"And we promise Baltimore
That some day when you take to the floor
Your world will be full of romance
Come on, give it a chance
(Come on, loosen your pants!)
Everybody...let's dance!"

There's a hidden track on my Hairspray cd! What song is it?
"Blood on the Pavement" is a song that was cut after Hairspray's tryout in Seattle. It appeared after "Nicest Kids in Town" as a public service announcement.

I heard a 3-song sampler that doesn't sound like the original Broadway cast recording. What is that from?
A sampler cd was sent out as part of a direct mail campaign in Spring 2002. At that point, the cast album had not been recorded yet so tracks from our demo were used. The three songs on this cd were "Good Morning Baltimore," "Mama I'm a Big Girl Now," and "Welcome to the '60s.

Where can I buy an "I love Link" pin?
Formerly only available during BC/EFA fund raisers, the "I Love Link" pin is now sold at the Neil Simon Theater and at merchandise stands on tour.

This photo-filled book is available at most local bookstores and on-line at amazon.com.
